Privacy Notice

Last updated: May 10, 2026

1. Who we are

EduvisionAnalytics ("we", "us") operates the AlignIQ service. We act as the data controller for personal data we process about you in connection with the Service.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: name (if provided), email address, hashed password or OAuth identifier (e.g., Google sign-in).
  • Lesson content: lesson plans and standards-related text you upload for analysis.
  • Usage data: analyses run, feature interactions, plan tier, request timestamps.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, log data.
  • Support data: messages you send to support.
  • Billing identifiers: a Paddle customer/subscription ID linked to your account. Card and tax data are collected and processed by Paddle, not by us.

3. Why we use your data (purposes & legal basis)

  • Provide the Service (account creation, run alignment analyses, store results) — performance of contract.
  • Billing and entitlements (link subscriptions, enforce plan limits) — performance of contract.
  • Security and fraud prevention — legitimate interests.
  • Product improvement (aggregate usage analytics) — legitimate interests.
  • Customer support — performance of contract / legitimate interests.
  • Legal compliance — legal obligation.
  • Marketing communications (if applicable) — consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

4. AI processing

Lesson content you submit is sent to our AI provider(s) solely to generate alignment analyses for you. We do not use your lesson content to train third-party foundation models. Outputs may be inaccurate; you remain responsible for reviewing them.

5. Sharing your data

We share personal data only with:

  • Service providers / subprocessors — hosting, database, AI inference, email, analytics, and support tooling, under contract and confidentiality obligations.
  • Paddle.com — our Merchant of Record, which handles checkout, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, invoicing, and refunds.
  • Professional advisers — legal, accounting, where necessary.
  • Authorities — where required by law or to protect our rights.

6. International transfers

Personal data may be processed in countries outside your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or rely on adequacy decisions.

7. Retention

We keep account and lesson data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion or prolonged inactivity, we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations, or to resolve disputes.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including GDPR for users in the UK/EEA), you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us through the in-product support channel. We will respond within the period required by applicable law (typically one month under GDPR).

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices — to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.

10. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to authenticate sessions and operate the Service. Where we use analytics or non-essential cookies, we will request your consent and let you manage preferences.

11. Children

AlignIQ is intended for educators and adults. It is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Notice. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email.
